Hi, I’m Louie Scott.

Louie has been Musical Director for ‘Tears of Nerakhis’ since October 2025. This role has involved leading and accompanying vocal rehearsals as well as conducting the show. Louie has also made the orchestral arrangements for the upcoming concert at Younger Hall, where he will be conducting the 19-piece orchestra alongside the cast.

Louie is a multi-instrumentalist, specialising in Cello, Piano and Saxophone. He holds a DipABRSM Distinction in Cello performance and ABRSM Grade 8 distinctions in both Piano and Saxophone. He has held multiple scholarships with the Music Centre throughout the duration of his degree, and is longstanding Principal Cello of the St Andrews Chamber Orchestra. As a saxophonist, he regularly plays with ‘Eden Big Band’.

Louie has had the privilege to work with musicians from the Royal Northern Sinfonia and outstanding teachers like Deborah Thorne and Nick Byrne. He has also had the opportunity to participate in masterclasses from world-leading cellists such as Natalie Clein and Louisa Tuck.

He has played with leading ensembles such as Young Sinfonia, as well as being a session cellist in recording studios and pit orchestras.

Louie’s theatre background is predominantly from the pit, having played for numerous productions… his favourites to date being ‘Evita’, ‘Shrek’ and ‘The Little Mermaid’. He is looking forward to being part of professional productions of ‘Hello Dolly’ and ‘Guys and Dolls’ later this year.
